Bart & Baker - Istanbul (Not Constantinople)
Paris duo electro-swing duo Bart & Baker opens the show with this week’s cover – it’s an interesting track – The song was written in 1953 to mark the 500th anniversary of the Ottoman conquest of Constantinople and the city’s longstanding modern name Istanbul. it was written by Jimmy Kennedy and Nat Simon, recorded first by the Four Lads in 1953 and again famously by They Might Be Giants in 1990 – I’ve been digging the electro-swing thing lately and this is a really fun take on ‘Istanbul (Not Constantinople)’.
Salme Dahlstrom - Guilty As A Girl Can Be
Every once in a while there is an entire album that I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for someone to make. Salme Dahlstrom, AKA Saint SX, crafted an excellent electro-swing album and infused it with a healthy dose of her signature attitude, and the resulting record ‘Fabulous’ is just that.

Abz Winter - Incompatible Me
Z-GR! Radio featured artist Abz Winter went through several genres on her way to her current rock sound, and ‘Incompatible Me’ is her only track sporting an electro-swing vibe that I know of – it’s really great and I’d love to hear more in the same vein – she and I sat down for a Take 5 interview which was a lot of fun, so make sure you check it out.

Fused - Queens of the Electro Show
Sometimes a song embeds itself in my psyche and I just can’t shake it – it happened a few weeks back with 2025’s ‘Queens of the Electro Show’ by Fused AKA Mark Kendrick, a solo electronic musician/producer from the UK – Every time I hear the track I dig it more, ‘Queens of the Electro Show’ is the album opener from Mark’s recent release ‘The Silicon Queens. Awesome.
VVerevvolf - Sugar & Spice
I was a bit sad when I heard that SF Bay Area trio VVerevvolf had disbanded, but I crossed my fingers and hoped that they’d get the band back together, and sure enough, in summer of 2025 they dropped a new track, it was great, and of course, I’m now waiting forward to their next release…in the meantime, I’ve reached back to 2018 for one of my favorite tracks ever, ‘Sugar and Spice’.
Zero-G Racetrack - My Baby Done Left Me
Producer Bill Williams and I challenged ourselves to turn an upbeat dance-rock track into a breakup song without bumming everyone out, and judging on the feedback I get from our fans, I think we hit the mark. ‘My Baby Done Left Me’ always gets a great response live, and it’s a ton of fun to sing.

Able Machines - Where Is My Mind?
Lowpkin - Vacancy
French trio Lowpkin is made up of Laurent Audouin, Vincent Bazille, and Julien Brevet – the band caught my ear with their fantastic sound, which leans into darkwave while remaining completely accessible. ‘Vacancy’ is riddled with great sound design’, which the icing on one fantastic cake.
Tapes In Motion - The End of it All
Episode 54’s Tapes in Motion, a Canadian duo made up of Tristan Konkle and Drummer Colby McAllister – is back on the show with ‘The End of It aAll’, from their debut album, 2022s ‘Art and Irreligion’. The more time I spend with their library, the moree I like it, and I highly recommend spending an hour or two checking it out.
Brave New World - Sweet Thing
Melbourne-based alternative rock / pop-rock band Brave New World originally formed in the late 1980’s – they took a long hiatus and by long I mean 30 years, but re-formed in 2021 to great fanfare and then released two new tracks – first came Danger With the Stranger in 2023 followed by this track, 2024’s ‘Sweet Thing’.
Crumbsnatchers - Satin Glow
I learned of Nashville’s Crumbsnatcher’s when I got an email from their publicist asking me to check them out – I did and I really dug them and put ‘Satin Glow’ on Episode 40 – I really like the track so I decided to give it another spin,

Hallucinophonics - Existencial Dread
Alexey Belenkiy is the principal creative force behind Hallucinophonics a London-based modern psychedelic and progressive rock band that leans hard into the classic Pink Floyd and Porcupine Tree vibe – I had them on Episode 63 and since then, they’ve dropped a ton of great new material, including Existencial Dread, which is leans into a theatrical and orchestric vibe that supports a very catchy chorus. Truly a great track.

NUDO - Love 4 Sale
NUDO AKA Manuela Nudo is a Toronto‑based musician and multidisciplinary artist known for themes of dark romanticism – when she debuted back on Episode 59 I mentioned that she’d released just a few tracks, but she released her first full-length album on Halloween 2025 and it’s full of great new material including ‘Love 4 Sale’.
