Z-GR! Radio promotes emerging, independent, and underrepresented artists through curated music and non-exclusive airplay, respecting rights while supporting exposure, audience growth, and long-term visibility.
Mel Senese - F.A.F.O.
Chicago’s Mel Senese has been releasing tracks since 2019, and this track is the first since her 2024 EP release, and it’s a banger – it’s no secret that I dig it when the women bring the attitude, and Mel doesn’t disappoint – Z-GR! Radio’s Episode 64 opener is F.A.F.O.
Kat Meoz / Wolves - Empire
Kat Meoz is a Venezuelan-American singer-songwriter, producer, and composer. She’s been active for years — her music has been used in commercials, soundtracks, and truth to tell, she’s anything but ‘emerging’ but when I hear a track this great, sometimes I bend the rules a bit. She’s partnered with WOLVES AKA Amit Ofir (producer, multi-instrumentalist), on this track and clearly, it’s a great fit.

Alexa Villa - DWIW
Z-GR! Radio favorite Alexa Villa is back on the show for the 8th time with her latest, DWIW which is shorthand for ‘Do What I Want’. I’ve been a fan since early 2023, and Alexa was a week one artist on the show. There’s a reason I have her on regularly and DWIW is a good example of why.
Paultra Violet - Glow Up Wolf
Joey Palestina, Spencer Miles, and Joel Hunter Martin are all L.A.-based artists who came together to form Paultra Violet during the COVID-19 pandemic, initially by sending email demos between Palestina and Miles; the name Paultra Violet came about from earlier working names like “PAUL.” They liked the idea of an anonymous character/title for the project. Eventually Paul evolved into “Paultra Violet.” ‘Glow Up Wolf’ is off of their 2023 debut album ‘We’ve Already Happened’
Child Seat - If This is the End
Los Angeles-based indie pop/rock duo Child Seat was formed in 2021 by Madeleine Mathews (also known as MAWD) and Josiah Mazzaschi (known for his work with Light FM and Bizou), they added Allison Loewe on bass and Argel Cota on drums for live work and have been carving a name for themselves ever since. ‘If This is The End’ is off of 2022’s Bad Holiday’ record.
Sarah Stockholm - The Light
Brisbane’s Sarah Stockholm caught my ear with her latest album, 2023’s ‘Trace of Humanity’ – the record has a fantastic sound that fits the Z-GR! Radio format perfectly, and there are great songs throughout, but deep cut track ‘The Light’ , which debuted on Episode 13, remains my favorite.
Apollo Moon Hoax - No Superheroes
Apollo Moon Hoax is the first conspiracy theorist band that I’ve come across, and while I’m not into the whole conspiracy thing, they sound great and are worth checking out for sure – Jacobo Gobernado plays guitar and is responsible for composing and writing lyrics. The band has released several singles, including ‘No Superheroes’.
Dare Summer - Back on Me
London’s Dare Summer, aka Lucinda Gallant premiered back on Episode 29 of Z-GR! Radio and frankly, I’m surprised I waited so long to have her on again – for this go around, this time I grabbed the title track from her 2021 EP ‘Back On Me’ which is great, so check it out.
Soft Swells - The Good Parts
L.A.’s Soft Swells was formed in 2010 and is known for its blend of indie pop and surf-inspired sounds. The band released three albums before taking a long hiatus in 2017, but they returned in 2024 and have several recent releases, including ‘Tee Good Parts’, which opens their 2025 EP If Climbing’.
Zero-G Racetrack - I Remember
We really don’t focus on ballads at Zero-G Racetrack, but ‘I Remember’ is about as close as we‘ve come. Not every relationship works out, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t great things about each one, so this song reflects on the idea that every relationship, regardless of how it ends, leaves you with positives that should be remembered moving forward.

Labrys - Satisfaction
LABRYS is the solo project of Penny Pitchlynn, known for her role as the bassist in the Oklahoma City-based indie-psych band Broncho. ‘Satisfaction’, from her 2023 album 10:10 is not a cover, but the chorus echoes the iconic refrain “I can’t get no satisfaction,” nodding to The Rolling Stones’ classic while infusing it with a personal twist.
Elay Arson / Becca Star - Immigrant Song
This week’s cover is a Led Zeppelin classic from Led Zeppelin III, which was released in 1970, the record peaked at No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. and spent 13 weeks total on the chart. Internationally, it reached No. 7 in South Africa and No. 4 in New Zealand. The song is instantly recognizable by Robert Plant’s Viking battle cry opening and the thundering rhythm section that supports Jimmy Page’s huge guitar riff.
Elay Arson bravely tackles the track with the vocals delivered by self-described Scottish sprite Becca Star – covering Led Zeppelin’s ‘The Immigrant Song’ is no small feat but they really did a good job.

Maneframe - Decommisioned
Maneframe is the musical project of Mark Whitmore and he’s got an upcoming album release titled ‘Echoes of the Beginning’ – I thought his recent release, Decommissioned, which features Mark tearing it up on guitar and is to be featured on the album, would make a perfect closer for this week’s show.
