Plexiphones - Apocalypse
Germany’s Plexiphones blend alternative pop with electro-rock elements with gfreat results – I absolutely love their sound and I’m not alone – the band has opened for ZZ Top, Heaven 17 and a personal favorite, Alphaville, and now they’re opening Episode 62 of Z-GR! Radio.
Forty Feet Tall - Tunnel Vision
Portland’s Forty Feet Tall are out of Portland Oregon, and I’ve had them on the show several times dating all the way back to episode 3 – I spent some time ears on with their 2023 EP Tunnel Vision and really dug their psychedelic rock sound – I decided that the EP closer and title track was just right for this week’s vibe. The entire EP is really heavy and great so go check it out.
Bite the Bullet - As We Do
I was reminded of how much I like Copenhagen’s Bite The Bullet when I revisited Episode 23 a while ago, so I went looking for another offering of theirs to add to this week’s lineup and came away with ‘As We Do’, the opener from their EP ‘The Last Rave’ which is really, really great.
Zero-G Racetrack - Hard to Believe
Hard To Believe, by my band Zero-G Racetrack, was released in 2023 and is a reminder that there’s nothing quite like the feeling you get when someone you dig digs you back, and it’s definitely worth the time to let that person know about it.

Deco Pilot - Tell Me Where You Hide
‘Tell Me Where You Hide’ is a track by Spain’s Deco Pilot, and can be found on their 2019 album Fishing in Mirrors. The band is known for their live work, and while it’s been a minute since their last release in 2023, the band is still together, so check out their website for dates.
Carlie Hanson - nutshell
Alice in Chains’ “Nutshell” was never released as an official single, so it never charted on the Billboard Hot 100 or Mainstream Rock charts, but the 1994 Jar of Flies EP which features the song, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, making history as the first EP to ever top the album chart. “Nutshell” became one of the band’s most beloved and enduring tracks, despite having no chart placement of its own.
Wisconsin’s Carlie Hanson released her cover of Alice in Chains’ “Nutshell” on the 22nd anniversary of Layne Staley’s death with the blessing of Staley’s family and reflects Hanson’s long-standing admiration for Alice in Chains.

Andy Carhart - All Those TImes
Andy Carhart is an outstanding guitar player who is known for expressive, nuanced guitar work that complements his introspective songwriting, he’s a NEWHD Featured Artist and it’s safe to say that I’m a big fan – 2024’s ‘All Those Times’ is really great and if you haven’t checked out the Take 5 interview I did with him for the song’sd release last year, head to newhdradio.com/andy and check it out.

Hallucinophonics - Woman in Blue
Alexey Belenkiy is the principal creative force behind Hallucinophonics a London-based modern psychedelic and progressive rock band leans hard into the classic Pink Floyd and Procupine Tree vibe, I’m not mad about it – ‘Woman in Blue’ is their latest, and it sounds familiar and new and great all at the same time.
